North American Sunburst LLC - a Glen Oak Company
After witnessing the phenomenal response to Morse's products at the show, Talbot offered to officially incorporate North American Sunburst into Glen Oak's established family of brands. This partnership became official in May 2002. "Nobody else in the country builds sunbursts the way Ted does," Talbot observes. "I knew if we put our financial and marketing muscle behind Ted's products, it could propel him to the next level."

Morse agreed. "Tom saw the potential fit between my sunbursts and his shutter components from day one. I felt Tom and the Glen Oak team were able to take this company where it needed to go a lot faster than I could on my own."

A new partnership was organized as North American Sunburst LLC with Glen Oak Lumber & Milling as the managing partner and Morse as the general manager. The related entities share a well-located manufacturing and distribution center in Naples, which Morse also manages on a daily basis. Shutter manufacturers appreciate being able to procure volumes of top-quality shutter components and specialty shutters from a single source.

With the two companies working hand-in-hand, North American Sunburst has been able to increase its production capacity ten-fold, in a singe shift. Continuous investments and advancements in North American Sunburst's computer programming technology have made it possible to machine-cut custom shutter frames and corresponding louvers, simultaneously. Produced precisely (.005+,-) and quickly, North American Sunburst has become the brand of choice for designers, retailers, and other manufacturers who need top-quality sunbursts in record time.

Today, North American Sunburst LLC is already one of the largest specialty shutter manufacturers in the country. For Morse, the former fisherman who recognized a need in the shutter industry and creatively filled it, the world of window fashions is now his personal oyster.

North American Sunburst product information

Custom-made in any shape or size, North American Sunburst shutters have moveable louvers. Fan louvers in the circle-shaped shutter radiate from a floating one-piece hub.

Shutters can also be ordered with horizontal louvers and tilt-rod, as in this oval example.

Fixed louvers distinguish North American's blind bursts, which can be cleverly used to create the illusion of accent windows where none exist.
