North
American Sunburst Corp. Reaps Rewards from Exhibiting at IWCE
April 10, 2002: A trade show as well attended
as the 2002 International Window Coverings Expo in Baltimore
can do wonders for a young, growing business. The show
was a turning point for my company, asserts first-time
IWCE exhibitor Ted Morse, president of North American Sunburst
Corp. It broke us out of just working in the Florida
area and exposed us to prospective customers in the entire
country, and beyond.
I found out that everybody was looking for exactly what
we were doing, Morse explains. We do a lot of
the specialty stuff thats hard for others to do, and
make it look easy, Morse adds, referring to the custom-made
movable louver sunburst shutters his company produces. We
do it faster than anybody-manufacturing paint-ready or finish-painted
sunburst shutters in just 12 to 14 business days-and carefully
crate each shutter for shipping like its a piece of
furniture.
At the show we got more than 100 cards from companies
interested in our products, says Morse. Since
the show, weve talked with 25 of those companies, some
of which have already placed pre-paid orders.
We had a continuous line of people at our booth (#326),
which kept three of us busy from 10:30 to 5:00 each day,
Morse reports. People loved the display; several even
asked us to move so they could take pictures of it! From our
perspective, the turnout at this years show was exceptional,
observes Morse. Weve already signed up for the
show next year.
