Component
Parts
Window, door, furniture, brush, and other manufacturers acquire
their component parts from Glen Oak, so they can focus on
their own core competencies. A win-win situation, providing
others with component parts also helps Glen Oak fulfill its
mission of full-grade utilization. In fact, most of the parts
sold are created from the "shorts" or off-fall remainders
that naturally result from Glen Oak’s primary manufacturing.

Wood
Residuals
Shavings, sawdust, ground knots and scraps are by-products of
wood manufacturing. As a responsible steward of natural resources,
Glen Oak carefully collects its wood residuals and supplies
them to a variety of other industries for end-use, thereby achieving
100 percent wood fiber recovery. Low-grade residuals like scraps
and sawdust are utilized in compressed logs and burned for fuel.
High-grade shavings are sold to agricultural customers for premiere
animal bedding that is especially clean, absorbent and dust-free.
