North American Sunburst™ Joins the Glen Oak Lumber & Milling Family of Brands

August 14, 2002: Glen Oak Lumber & Milling, Inc. has incorporated North American Sunburst™ into its family of brands. The plantation-style shutter bursts and blind bursts join Arrow-Straight F.J™ shutter components and leading brands of wood mouldings, boards, and hardwood flooring in an extensive array of products Glen Oak markets nationally, from multiple manufacturing plants and distribution centers.

North American Sunburst™ shutter and blind bursts have been custom-made to computer-controlled tolerances by creator Ted Morse and a team of craftsmen in Naples, Florida, since 1999. Glen Oak recently acquired the assets of Morse’s company, North American Sunburst Corp., after witnessing the phenomenal response to its products at the 2002 International Window Coverings Expo.

“We had a continuous line of people at our booth, which kept us busy from 10:30 to 5:00 each day,” Morse recalls. “In my first year exhibiting at the show, I found out that everybody was looking for exactly what we were doing.”
Morse will continue to oversee the manufacturing and development of the North American Sunburst™ product line as general manager of the newly formed North American Sunburst LLC, a Glen Oak Lumber & Milling company.

Headquartered in Montello, Wisconsin, Glen Oak has been pioneering millwork products since 1979. The North American Sunburst™ products will be promoted via select members of Glen Oak’s national sales and marketing team.
